Shotti’s Point’s website let us know that it was kid-friendly and sure enough, as soon as we walked in to their location on 35th St. next to K-Coast (where the old Crazy 8’s sandwich shop used to be), the staff asked us if we needed a high chair and we chose a table near the pizza oven, which was behind one of the bars.
Every staff member was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. I was dying to try the loaded fries I kept hearing about, and I saw the heaping portion at the next table, so I was sold. They call them Rhino Chasers and for $12, you get a huuuge plate of fries with herbs, parmesan, white truffle aioli on the side, and a balsamic glaze drizzle on top. Heaven! I am kind of a connoisseur of loaded fries, and this is one of my favorites by far. The wing section was chock-full of cool-sounding names like Tortola, K59, Crackheads, etc., and I got to choose the flavor for the table, so I went with Zippy Cana, which was that hot and sweet combo. The wings were slathered in paprika, chipotle, brown sugar, agave, and sriracha. Amazing. I don’t even know if they came with dipping sauce because I didn’t need it, I was scraping the plate for more wing sauce.
