Parasailing in St. Thomas, USVI

On Day 2 of our honeymoon in the U.S. Virgin Islands, we went parasailing over the water, an excursion we had pre-booked with our travel agent. It was pretty easy to find the boat on the Sapphire Beach complex. We opted to pay to have one of the guides take a million pictures of us and we were able to just take home the camera’s memory card. This was the first time for both of us, so it was great to share that first-time experience. I wasn’t scared for a minute!

After an amazing parasail with Matt, of course the next step was to find the bar while we waited for our ride back. It was a pretty standard beach bar with rum drinks and a grill nearby for burgers. It seemed like a cruise ship had dropped off a bunch of cruisers to chill on this beach, along with the people staying in the condos.

After chatting up the bartender (which you should ALWAYS do on a trip), we found out we could shop at K-Mart for sunscreen, rum, and snacks without patronizing the expensive sundry shop on the resort. We also found out about King of the Wing, an awesome annual festival with local restaurants bringing their best wing sauce for your judging. #livelikealocal
