Winter Weekend in Ocean City, MD

Winter Weekends Can Be Better Than Summer

Valentine’s Day weekend is one of my favorite times to head to OC in the winter. Other awesome weekends are any time in December to see the Winterfest of Lights, to attend the HMRA Trade Show in March, and St. Patrick’s Day. When I am in OC, since I am a former year-round local, I try to patronize local restaurants the whole time I am there. This trip was no exception. We broke up the drive by stopping at Aldi for snacks and bag salads. I like to go to the one in Easton, but since the baby was sleeping, we opted for the Salisbury Aldi located past the mall.

Once we got into OC, it was around 55 degrees, so it was a great time to take the baby for a walk on the beach. She loved babbling at the seagulls and feeling the wind in her hair. After the walk, it was definitely dinner time.

Our usual Friday night spot is OC Wasabi. Even though I moved away from OC a few years ago, the bartenders still remember my favorite things on the menu. I was sorry to miss OC Wasabi this trip, but felt like taking a chance on a new place. We have been wanting to try Shotti’s Point for a while now, just from hearing good things about their Baltimore location, and knowing that the owner was a friend of a friend. Read my full review below. Shotti’s Point Didn’t Disappoint For breakfast the next day, I popped out down Coastal Hwy to the Pablo’s Bowls downtown location for some takeout acai bowls and smoothies.
